Background:
As you may have gleaned from this website, I like taking photos. I’m not sure I’m a particularly great photographer or anything, but I really enjoy the process. To me, photography’s the perfect marriage of creativity and technology, and fiddling around with cameras will probably always be one of my favorite pastimes.
Going into 2016, I wanted to take more photos. Sure, I took a ton when I went on vacation or a special event happened, but generally speaking my cameras remain off on most days. So I decided I’d change that.
I vowed to take a picture every single day. Of course, I actually took way more than just one a day, but I’d only choose one a day to actually edit and post to tumblr as a way to keep myself honest. Once the year ended, I compiled all 366 of those bad boys (2016 was a leap year), and made a video.
Would I do it again? I don’t know, probably not. On some days it was insanely easy, but on others (when it was miserably cold outside, for instance) it proved very difficult. I learned a lot in the process, so I’d say it was all worth it.
